What is a prayer? Tell me. . .

Taste this one minute of poetic musical experience -- or loop it indefinitely.

The attached poem was performed by the Noetic Ensemble as a recurring theme at our 2005 conference. I've made it into a seamless loop for extended contemplation.

Original lyrics are by Mary Oliver excerpted from her poem called Summer Days.

This is a sweet retreat.

I looped through this musical poem a few times as you suggested and then ran out to the field right by the edge of the woods and lay in the tall grass for a while. The first cool, dry sunny day since early June with a brilliant blue sky and intricate cirrus clouds racing by helped me to quiet my mind and be present in spite of the mosquitos. What a powerful tool for integration at the end of a long day!

Thank you for taking the time to create this little loop of musical poetry.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply,

I have a lot of music clips from the conference to share -- if there is an audience for it.

Suggestions?

Kelly, I love this clip! I too was inspired by it as I rush rush rush around at work. It gave me a moment of peace and I would love it if you wanted to share more with us!

Thank you!

Tristy
